Ingredients
- 450g firm tofu, diced
- 30 ml (2 tbsp) cornstarch
- 15 ml (1 tbsp) olive oil
- 60 ml (¼ cup) maple syrup
- 25 ml (1 tbsp) soja sauce
- 7.5 ml (½ tbsp) ginger, in powder
- 3 green onions, chopped
- Sriracha sauce (optional)
- salt
Method
- Place the diced tofu in a bowl. Add the cornstarch and mix well until the tofu is well coated.
- In a wok, over high heat, heat the oil. Add the tofu and stir fry for 10-15 minutes or until the tofu is crusty and golden on all sides.
- During the cooking time, mix together the maple syrup, soja sauce, ginger and, if desired, the sriracha.
- Pour the sauce over the tofu. Continue cooking for 3-4 minutes or until there is no more liquid in the wok. Add a pinch of salt.
- Serve with rice and your favorite green vegetable. Garnish with green onions.
