strawberries with maple syrup

maple strawberry jam

  • 4 cups fresh strawberries
  • 60 ml (1/4 cup) maple syrup


  1. In a medium saucepan add the strawberries and maple syrup.
  2. Bring to a boil. Cook over medium heat for 15 minutes. Allow to cool.
  3. Serve with bread or as the base of your favorite dessert.

Alternative Method from Isabelle Dechamps Plante

  1. In a 33x23cm baking dish, mix the strawberries and the maple syrup.
  2. Cook at 190C (325F) for 25 minutes.

The strawberries can be kept up to 2 weeks in a container in the fridge.
