Ingredients: flour, maple sugar, baking powder, sea salt. Note: Additional ingredients are required in order to prepare the recipe.

560g mix:

150 g of cold butter, cut into pieces
- 250 ml of milk
- 1 beaten egg
280g mix:
-
75 g of cold butter, cut into pieces
- 125 ml of milk
- 1 beaten egg
Method:
- Preheat the oven to 220°C. Line a baking tray (30 x 40 cm) with baking paper and set aside.
- In a bowl, add the maple scone mix and butter. Mix with the fingers until mixture resembles breadcrumbs.
- Pour the milk and knead the dough until just coming together (it should not be sticky).
- Transfer dough onto the baking tray and divide into equal parts*.
- Press each piece into a round biscuit or scone cutter (5-6 cm).
- Brush the scones' top with the beaten egg.
- Bake for 12-15 minutes or until lightly golden. Allow to cool on tray for 5 minutes before transferring onto a wire rack. Serve warm.
